Lisa Keller has been a court reporter for over 20 years and has been with Mike Mobley Reporting since 2017. She is currently based in and works as a court reporter in Dayton, OH, along with Cincinnati and Columbus.
From Lisa’s perspective:
Background: I grew up in Kettering, then moved to Beavercreek, and now live in Bellbrook. After going to Beavercreek High School, I went to court reporting school at Sinclair Community College. Mine was the last year there for the court reporting program. My teacher was Millie Stocksdale. I’ll never forget her. She was a character. She moved us to a room she probably rented herself in Fairborn and we finished out there!
Being a Court Reporter: I have been a court reporter for 20 years. I worked for a year or two and then stayed home for 15 years with my kids and then came back to reporting – and man, had it changed! What I love about court reporting is that you can hear some very interesting things, from the patents on a piece for a gas pump to a very rare disease to how to drive a fork lift!
Personal Life: I’m divorced. I have four grown kids and six grandkids. Three of my kids live in Columbus and one in Spring Valley. I am so very proud of my kids and can’t get enough of my grandkids, which is good because I’m sure there’s many more on the way! Ha!
Outside of my job I love to read and garden and knit and sew and make cards. I belong to lots of different groups, knitting ladies, Bunco, bible study groups, bowling girls. Bored or lonely are not in my vocabulary!
